Interlude Four: So Close Yet So Far

Morning 10 AM, five hours since he returned from patrol and crashed into his bed. Tim groggily pulled himself up and readied himself for the day. If it was up to him, he would have slept until noon, but today wasn’t about him. Today was all about Damian Wayne—not Robin, Damian.

Interlude Three: Lost Little Bird

A blast echoed the air as the portal spat out Jason Todd. Before he even touched the ground he tucked into a roll and jumped to his feet with his guns held out defensively. “All right kid, give back the… the fuck?”

Interlude Two: Missing His Boy

His boy was gone for nearly four snowfalls. It was so different without his small smiles and his affectionate hand, but he would have to do without his boy. The human pack his boy left behind was sad, especially the youngest one that goes by his boy’s den everyday.

Interlude One: Dear Butler

Maintenance around the manor and the cave was part of Alfred’s regular responsibilities in addition to cooking, cleaning and caring for his remaining masters. But the dear butler was not as young as he used to be. What he could normally do in minutes now took him longer and tired him easily. He first noticed this when his young masters Damian and Terry ran about the manor, their violent games of tag and their unbreakable perseverance to prove their father’s innocence. Just watching them exhausted him. Though the manor had never been livelier before they came.

Forgotten Years- Prologue

He caught wind that Red Robin, the former boy wonder, had gotten his hand on the motherbox. No doubt, he was trying to bring their late dad back from the dead. If he were anyone else, he would snort in disbelief—bring the dead back to life, yeah right. But then again, he wasn’t just anyone else. He died once. No one could question the possibility of the dead returning to life.

Chapter Six: From Blackest Twilight to the Dawn of Hope

Terry hadn’t planned on familiarizing himself with the titans more so than what was needed to subdue and defeat them. Yet, within a few months, he quickly found himself intimately acquainted with them. By no means he met or spoke to them in person, but rather, they’ve taken to talking to T, the new “A.I” for the tower, about their problems and even going to him for advice. Some of the female titans had taken to using him as a diary.

Chapter Five: Meet the Titans

Two years since Bruce and Terry’s deaths and Tim was gone from Gotham just as long. His Robin mantle was taken from him. There was little he could do in Gotham. He lost his parents, his girlfriend, his best friend, his mentor and even a boy he thought of as a little brother. If he wasn’t searching for Bruce, he was hunting down Ras and his men. More so on the later when they taken to stalking him and bothering him wherever he went.

Chapter Four: Struggle

“Ugh.” Conner groaned in pain as he raised a hand to block the sun from his eyes. Sun? He lowered his arm and spotted the clear blue skies above. “Where—” He coughed violently and spat out a mouthful of blood. “Oh gross.” He murmured as he wiped his bloody hand on the ground. The pain was quickly subsiding; it must be the sun’s regenerative power.
A violent coughing fit came from his right. He spotted Terry yanking off his cowl and rolling onto his knees. His body lurched before he heaved blood onto the ground.
“Beyond!” He called out painfully as he crawled to the feet and hurried to his fellow project’s side. “Are you okay? What should I do? A doctor? I should take you to the hospital!” He tried hauling the other into his arms, but Terry swatted him aside and continued to cough up blood. “Beyond—” A hand shot up to cover his mouth. The boy wanted him to shut up.
After five minutes of his violent coughing fit, Terry finished and collapsed on his back with a heavy breath. His hand clenched tightly to his cowl as he stared up to the open skies, his mouth still stained with blood.

Chapter Three: Deactivation

Two weeks into Terry’s weapon development, he found a peculiar detail to his and Conner’s cells. The structure of their cells was made to resist against mutation and degeneration. With a quick glance through Conner’s development files in his personal drive, he noted the success of Project XIII was derived from Project Beyond’s codes. While Luthor’s human genetics helped stabled him, it was Terry’s codes that kept him from deterioration.
And it wasn’t only Project XIII that utilized the stability codes. From his files, he found Galatea along with the Ultimen have also use portions of his stability codes. However, with the Ultimen certain codes were modified in order for the meta-gene—taken from Project Meta—to dominate and develop meta-abilities for the subject.
Terry’s heart nearly soared with glee. He found a common point among the projects. If he could isolate the genetic coding, he could easily create a weapon that would annihilate the project and demolish Cadmus’ forces.
“How is the weapon coming along?” His Bruce’s voice startled him to flinch and glance up. He was so entranced in his findings he forgot to mind his surroundings.
